INDEPENDENT PROJECTS

GOT AN IDEA FOR A BOOK?
NOT SURE WHERE TO START?
Short & Few can help you make it happen!
If you’ve joined a workshop and caught the bug for making, this is a chance to develop your ideas with focused support. I offer 1:1 sessions to help you move from initial concept to a resolved book — whether that’s working out structure, refining your idea, or figuring out how to actually make it.
Support can include technical guidance on binding and construction, advice on materials and formats, and help thinking through how your ideas translate into a physical object. Tools are provided, and basic materials are available to buy, but I’m just as interested in helping you problem-solve with what you already have or want to experiment with.
This isn’t open studio access, but dedicated time to focus, test and get unstuck, with guidance along the way. These sessions are for developing your own ideas, not for learning new techniques — so you’ll need to have attended a Short & Few workshop beforehand and come with a project in mind.

BESPOKE WORKSHOPS
LOOKING FOR A BESPOKE WORKSHOP?
WANT TO LEARN A PARTICULAR TECHNIQUE?
Some workshops are available on demand.
If what you're looking for isn’t in the workshop listings, I can run a bespoke workshop for up to 4 people. These sessions focus on learning a specific bookmaking technique, with step-by-step guidance towards a defined outcome that you can replicate in your own work.
Bespoke workshops are suited to those wanting to learn something new, often more advanced or specialised than the introductory and improvers workshops.
Get in touch to discuss what you're looking for and book a session.
