OVERVIEW:
This workshop will introduce you to cyanotypes – the original “blue print” (also known as “sun prints”) that creates striking blue and white prints. It is dubbed as 'alternative photography' in so much as it is not seen as a traditional photographic process - certainly nowadays where we rely heavily on digital cameras and digitally imagery. It is a beautifully simple, hands-on process and possibilities are endless. Cyanotypes is an immediate, rewarding process that can really feel like magic is unfolding before your eyes!
WHAT YOU'LL DO/MAKE/TAKE AWAY:
In the workshop you will be taken through the process, some history and lots of examples to illustrate the potential of the process; and the spend about 2 hours experimenting with the process to make approximately 10 prints…
